Writer GoH: James P. Blaylock

James P. Blaylock teaches composition and creative writing at Chapman University and is the author of twenty novels and four short story collections. His novel Homunculus received the Philip K. Dick Award.

Blaylock started his publishing career with short stories in the 70’s and moved to fantasy novels in the early 80s.  He is known for his distinctive style, writing in a humorous and yet comfortable way, with genre ranging from fantasy through modern fabulism, magic realism and Steampunk.  Blaylock is a many time nominee and two-time winner of the World Fantasy Award, most recently for his short story "Thirteen Phantasms.".

Artist GoH: Theresa Mather

A professional artist since 1989, Theresa Mather creates fantasy works featuring a variety of unusual creatures. Best known for her pieces painted on feathers and stone, integrating her paintings with the natural colors and textures of the surface, Theresa draws much of her inspiration from the world around her.  

Theresa is an artist who chooses to work outside of gaming and publication, exhibiting and selling her work at science fiction convention art shows across the country. She enjoys the freedom this gives her to paint whatever she desires, allowing her paintings to be truly her creations.

Fan GoH: David-Glenn Anderson

David-Glenn works by day in an alternative high school with at risk students. During four years in the US Navy, he was a journalist serving at Schools Command, Treasure Island CA and on USS Ticonderoga CVA-14. He holds two BS degrees from Weber State University.
He is a published poet.

Retiring from his Hill AFB job in 1994 opened up the world of fandom. His home is with CONduit, Utah’s May SF/F convention. He works behind the scene with most Utah conventions.

Reading for the Future advocacy lead to being on staff at four Worldcons and one NASFIC. Developing the Young Reader (Norwescon, Rustycon, and C3) He is a SWOC member.He worked with Cascadiacon from concept to delivery. Seattle-in-2011 Worldcon bid followed He is now working to bring a Westercon back to Seattle.

Rustycon 2009 was proclaimed by many to be the best Rustycon so far! The Marriott recieved many compliments. We're working to make Rustycon 2010 even better.
